As a final project for the upper-level art history seminar, History of Graphic Design, taught by Doug Scott, students were tasked with visualizing the careers of two historic graphic designers. The work serves as a means to synthesize connections, influence, and context in relation to two designers, one from the 20th century and a contemporary designer of choice. Once the research and notable work has been selected, the information would be visualized in an accordion-style booklet.
I was tasked with creating a timeline for the designers, Alexander Rodchenko and Kioshi Awazu, and in doing so, configuring a graphic system that would allow for visual differentiation for each. The timeline also includes notable worldly events and achievements in art and design.
